Dr. Brandt grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania. After graduating from college and the medical school of Pennsylvania State University, he received his surgical training at Loma Linda University in California. Dr. Brandt worked at a large county hospital in southern California for two years, giving him extensive experience in trauma, sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and total joint reconstruction. He joined Flathead Valley Orthopedic Center, PC in 2001 to offer expert orthopedic care locally for the Whitefish and Columbia Falls communities.

Dr. Brandt is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Christian Medical and Dental Society, and Orthopaedic Overseas. He has volunteered for medical mission trips to Haiti, Africa, Ecuador, and Bhutan. Dr. Brandt has medical staff privileges at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and HealthCenter Northwest in Kalispell.

Dr. Brandt enjoys fly fishing, woodworking, hiking, guitar, golf, and tennis. He and his wife Heidi are active in church and blessed to have three boys, Cody, Zachary and Joseph.
