Dr. Olszewski (“Dr. Oz”) is a Montana native. He grew up in Great Falls and left Montana after college to attend medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Olszewski received his surgical and orthopedic training at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Texas, where he also served as a flight surgeon and as an orthopedic surgeon with the rapid mobility surgical team. After completion of his specialty training he served on the teaching faculty of the orthopedic department at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. In 1998 Dr. Olszewski completed a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine and Adult Reconstruction at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He then returned to his home state, joining Flathead Valley Orthopedic Center, P.C. in 1998.

Dr. Olszewski received his board certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in July 1997. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Montana Orthopedic Society, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has medical staff privileges at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, HealthCenter Northwest, North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, and St. Johns Hospital in Libby.

Dr. Olszewski has an avid interest in sports and is a frequent attendee and volunteer physician at high school and adult events in the Flathead Valley. He and his wife, Nancee, are active in their church and are kept busy with their four children, Sierra, Megan, Al Michael, and Daniel.
