Fellowship Trained in Non-operative Orthopedics and Spine Care

Dr. Schroeder was born and raised in rural Minnesota. He received his medical doctorate at the University of Minnesota, and originally trained as a family practice physician, completing residency at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He then completed an accredited fellowship in primary care orthopedics, sports medicine, and interventional spine care at the University of Utah where he cared for high level athletes with the University of Utah and U.S. Speed skating teams, and served as a physician at the Park City Ski Injury Clinic. Dr. Schroeder was in private practice in Bozeman, Montana, before joining Flathead Valley Orthopedic Center in 2008.

Dr. Schroeder is a non-operative orthopedic and sports medicine specialist. He specializes in acute and chronic pediatric and adult sports injuries as well as fracture management. He has specialized spine training and performs osteopathic manipulation as well as x-ray guided spine procedures (such as epidural and facet injections) to alleviate back pain and sciatica. Dr. Schroeder also has a special interest in osteoarthritis and performs injections and other treatments to alleviate joint pain. The care he provides adds to and complements that already offered at Flathead Orthopedic Center.

Dr. Schroeder and his wife Andrea have three children, Maya and twin boys Noah and Lincoln. They spend their free time enjoying the outdoors, and you'll probably run into them while skiing, hiking, or mountain biking.
